Brief History

The high demand for Forensic Accountants and the desire to see the best Forensic Accounting Institution with a global focus that will educate, train, certify and accredit Professional Forensic Accountants, Investigators and Auditors to become global leaders in the industry and act as reference point for practitioners, corporations, law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, governments, among others, inspired the establishment of the International Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants, IICFA.

The Institute was incorporated on 30th May, 2014 as the Association of Chartered Certified Forensic Accountants, ACCFA. Later in 2015 on October 16, the IICFA was incorporated in the USA under the State Laws of Delaware as the International Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants, Inc.

Objectives

  •  To enhance the quality of the principles and practice of the Forensic Accounting Profession Globally.
  •  To undertake research and education to promote the advancement of knowledge of the theory and practice of Forensic Accounting
  •  To hold and administer professional examinations and award certificates, diplomas and prizes.
  •  To collaborate with other professional bodies and educational institutions with a view to promoting the principles and practice of the quality of Forensic Accounting nationally and internationally.
  •  To maintain a high standard of professionalism, probity and credibility among members of the Institute
